Compare the two routes before applying: the diploma is the full sub-engineer qualification, the pre-diploma is the shorter supervisory course that can be upgraded later.

3-Year Diploma in Civil Engineering
Surveying, building construction, estimating and costing, hydraulics and reinforced concrete, with workshop practice and supervised site visits each year. Graduates register with the Nepal Engineering Council as sub-engineers.

18-Month Pre-Diploma in Civil Engineering (Civil Sub-Overseer)
A short, practical route into construction supervision — levelling, drawing, masonry and quantity measurement taught mostly in the workshop rather than the classroom.

Grading standard
Internal marks are entered by subject teachers in the portal gradebook and converted to the NEB letter grade scale. CTEVT semester results follow the council's own pass criteria.
